On Villavicencio city we can find different natural scenarios that tourist can enjoy. Among the most representative are the theme parks like: Bioparque Los Ocarros, Tiuma Park, Arawana y Gramalote.
The viewpoint of la Piedra del Amor is one of the most frequented viewpoints of Buenavista, located in the old Kilometer 7 via Bogotá-Villavicencio. From there it is possible to observe a spectacular panoramic view of the city. The place is adorned by large sculptures of different shapes such as owls, horses among others.
On November 20, the great tourist attraction of the Torre del Mirador Matapalo, located in the municipality of Puerto López, will be open to the public. It has 47 meters high above the Alto de Menegua, equivalent to 15 floors, with modern panoramic elevators, 25 commercial stores, artisanal platforms and restaurants.
For those who prefer religious destinations we find the Museum of Pope Francis, which is located in the Pueblito Llanero of Las Malocas Park, and in which is the entire context of the visit of the Supreme Pontiff to the city of Villavicencio, on September 8 of 2017.
Other tourist sites that you can visit are the different theme parks that are located in different sectors of the capital of Meta.
Arawana park. This theme park is located 45 minutes from the city of Villavicencio, it can be reached by private car along the route of the llanero charm, at kilometer 47 from Villavicencio to Puerto López
Campo Ecológico Gramalote. Located at Kilometer 7 via Villavicencio to Restrepo, the Campo Ecológico Gramalote is the first in the country to receive a certification for the quality of its tourist services. They are also specialists in horseback riding activities in adventure tourism.
Tiuma park. Located at kilometer 15 via Puerto López, in this tourist destination there is a portfolio of more than 15 activities of plain culture and adventure: canopy, rappelling, five classes of horseback riding, safaris, cattle collection, culture show, plain work and water activities among others.
The last one is Los Ocarros Biopark. This place is located 3 kilometers from the city of Villavicencio, via Restrepo, its length is 5.5 hectares, and it was opened with the objective of supporting the conservation of the native fauna of the Colombian Eastern Plains.
